Traditional Welcome  

On arrival at your hotel, experience Indian warmth and hospitality as you are greeted with a ‘Traditional Welcome’. Elegant ladies in local costumes greet you with garlands. Flower petals are showered and the ‘aarti’ ceremony is performed where your forehead is anointed with the auspicious red ‘tika’. Relax with a welcome drink.

Maharaja Welcome

On arrival at the hotel, you are accorded a Maharaja Welcome – ‘a welcome fit for a King’. A stunning tableau of beautifully decorated elephants or camels and horses unfolds before you, recreating the atmosphere of medieval times. Ladies in colourful costumes perform the traditional garlanding, ‘aarti’ and ‘tika’ ceremony while the music of the ‘Shehnai’ welcomes you. Relax with a welcome drink.

Note: Available in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur. Welcome with elephants is only available in Jaipur. Camels and horses will be used in Jodhpur and Udaipur.

Grand Royal Welcome Procession  

You will be accorded a royal reception recreating the ambience of a welcome accorded to a victorious Rajput warrior. The entire driveway of your hotel will be lined with caparisoned elephants or horses and camels. You will be taken in royal carriages or on camel carts accompanied by a band of folk musicians and horsemen leading the procession amidst showers of rose petals. Valets drape each lady with a ‘dupatta’ (stole) and the gents are dressed with ‘safas’ (Rajasthani turbans). You will be greeted with garlands and the ‘tika’ ceremony is performed. Welcome drinks are served whilst an array of folk performers and musicians entertain you.

Note: Available in Jaipur and Udaipur. Welcome with elephants is only available in Jaipur, whereas Camels and horses can be used in Udaipur.

Treasure Hunt  

Embark on an exciting Treasure Hunt arranged exclusively for you, commencing at the Red Fort. The group will be divided into two teams. Using different modes of local transportation, winding your way through the bustling old narrow streets of Chandni Chowk, you will arrive at your final destination the ‘Chor Bizarre’, with help of some clues. Have your fortune told by an astrologer who hands you a tattered map that leads you to a specific cycle rickshaw that wends its way through the teeming mass of people and narrow lanes. Haggle for an oriental rug which when unfolded yields a further clue, leading to a soft drink seller, wearing your company’s logo. Carry on to a snake charmer or a local vendor, which provides the final clue leading you to your destination. The winning team is presented with their prize (small oriental rugs / silk scarves, etc.) at the restaurant where you will have a delicious lunch with beer.

Mughal Theme Dinner

You have the opportunity to adorn typical Indian attire and experience the lifestyle reminiscent of the Mughals, recreated through the grandeur of this traditional Mughal theme evening. It is reflected in the specially designed chowkis (low-seating tables), gaddas (luxurious mattresses) and plush bolsters and cushions all draped in richly embroidered fabric. The sultry melodies of live Indian classical music, sumptuous Mughlai cuisine, live Kathak dance performance (the royal dance of the Mughal Courts) makes a traditional Mughal dinner, a truly unforgettable experience.

Exhibition Elephant Polo Match

In the land of Maharajas & Princes, Palaces & Forts, the game of Elephant Polo was one of the ultimate Royal experiences. As in yesteryears, the arrival of the guests is accompanied by the Royal Military Bass band and the beating of ‘Nagadas’ (huge Indian drums). Horses and camels add to the royal welcome, before the start of the game. You will have the option to watch or alternatively participate in an exhibition game of Elephant Polo. Guests are divided into two teams of three each. To add to the ambience, the players wear distinctively coloured turbans that identify the teams. Each ‘chukkar’ (round) lasts for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. After the match, a lavish buffet dinner will be served accompanied by Rajasthani folk dances.

Royal Dinner at City Palace

A Royal meal at the magnificent venue of ‘Shobha Niwas’ provides a splendid, once-in-a-lifetime experience to the visitors. In the evening, guests will be taken to the beautifully illuminated City Palace where you will be accorded a traditional welcome with caparisoned elephants, garlands and tika ceremony. Enjoy a glass of champagne. Once you are seated in a very exclusive area, grand procession commences which is a display of the pageantry, pomp and glory of the ruling house of Jaipur. An elaborate buffet dinner will be served at the Shobha Niwas decorated with mirrors and gold lacquer and is the private dining hall of the Maharaja of Jaipur. A sit down meal with a choice of traditional ‘thali’ setting or a continental four-course meal is served. Live presentation of melodic Indian classical music on sitar or traditional Rajasthani folk music and scintillating dances will accompany the dinner. The evening concludes with a magnificent display of fireworks.

Maharaja Jeep Rally  

Prepare yourself for a morning of adventure as you embark on a unique self drive car rally navigating your way through the rustic environs off the beaten track, stopping at the tribal Gujjar and Meena villages. Enjoy interacting with the tribes witnessing their daily lifestyles before arriving at the magnificent Chambal River for a Royal Shikar picnic lunch on the banks of the river.

Bollywood Extravaganza

Enjoy the experience of an electrifying Bollywood Extravaganza theme dinner. ‘Bollywood’ as it is famously known is Mumbai’s answer to Hollywood. Experience the colourful extravaganza, Bollywood Extravaganza as the evening unfolds with hostesses dressed in glitzy attire, according you with a welcome of pomp and pageantry. The entire venue is decorated with Indian film posters and scenes from famous movies projected on screens in the background. Featuring dancers and singers performing to Bollywood smash hits combined with a full buffet dinner, this is a one-of-a-kind experience. Shantaram Tour  

Embark upon a ‘Shantaram Tour’, reliving the adventurous moments as your journey takes you through a few of the spectacular sights mentioned in the famous book Shantaram. Begin your journey with a visit to the bustling fishing villages popularly known as ‘Kolis’. Catch a glimpse of the daily hustle bustle and lifestyle of the city’s original inhabitants - the Fisher folk.  You will then be driven to the Churchgate Railway Station to watch a Management Guru – the Dabbawalas, in action.  For over a century Dabbawalas have been delivering lunch boxes to thousands of working people across Mumbai and all with clockwork precision and efficiency.  According to Forbes, the Dabbawalas work with 99.999999 percent accuracy.

A visit to Amchi Mumbai is incomplete without a ride on its famous ‘local’. Enjoy an experience unique to Mumbai – a short train ride from Churchgate to Mahalaxmi; from here you will proceed to Dhobhi Ghat – world’s largest outdoor laundry. Be prepared for a fascinating spectacle, looking down upon row upon row of open- air concrete wash pens, each fitted with its own flogging stone. Dhobi Ghat is where Mumbai’s traditional washer folk – or dhobis – provide a wonderful service, collecting dirty laundry, washing it, and returning it neatly pressed, all for a very small fee. After an exhilarating morning, proceed for lunch to a local restaurant.

Dinner at the Tabularasa  

‘Tabularasa’ means ‘Clean Slate’ in Latin. Thus, the restaurant hinges on the concept of newness. It brings small plates of world cuisine to the table. The restaurant scores on innovation and experimentation. With tastefully decorated interiors exuding a warm ambience, the restaurant besides its creative cuisine has a notable alcohol menu, all combining to make dining at Tabularasa a mouth watering stimulating experience.

Champagne Breakfast at Taj Khema

Gala Evening at Samode Palace  

Perched on a hill, 40 km from Jaipur is the romantic Samode Palace. Enjoy a ride through the village to the fortress on colourfully decorated camel carts accompanied by local musicians and torchbearers. To the haunting strains of the Shehnai, beautiful ladies in Rajasthani costume greet you with the traditional welcome at the magnificent palace, which is magically illuminated with flaming torches and fairy lights. You will be escorted to the spectacular Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) for a welcome drink following which you proceed to the ‘Darbar Hall’ (central hall) where champagne, cocktails and delicious eats are served as traditional Rajasthani dances are performed. Enjoy the lavish dinner before the grand finale of the evening, an impressive and colourful display of fireworks, which transforms the quiet night into a festival of lights.

Flaming Torch Dinner in the Dunes  

A memorable evening awaits you in the magical sand dunes. You are transported in a convoy of decorated canopied camel carts accompanied by torch-bearers and musicians to the venue which is transformed into a royal camp illuminated with flaming torches and gas lanterns. Traditional folk artists like the langaas and kalbeliyas and the desert musicians will mesmerise you to a melody of music and dance. Relax on commodious Indian style ‘charpais’ (jute beds) as you enjoy cocktails under the stars and relish a delectable array of barbequed fare. A spectacular display of fireworks light up the sky bringing the evening to a memorable end.

Exclusive Royal Lunch or Dinner at Jaigarh Fort  

Jaigarh or the Fort of Victory is a rugged fort built in 1726. This fort has the worlds largest Cannon on Wheels and used to house the fabulous treasures of the rulers of Amer and Jaipur. Enjoy an exclusive Lunch or Dinner at the Jaigarh Fort. The venues include the 16th Century Mughal Garden divided into four blocks by channels and fountains, having two covered bastions, which offers a breathtaking view of the ancient lake and the Amer Palace. Another venue is the Laxmi Vilas, an enclosed courtyard adjoining rooms, used by royalty to relax. Alternatively, arrangements could be made in the bastion, near the Cannon, from where the view of Jaipur and its environs is spectacular.

The guests will be welcomed in the traditional style, with caparisoned elephants, cavalry on horses with a band of traditional musicians and dancers. The fort will be illuminated with Mashaals (ancient oil torches). A sumptuous, lavish meal will be set amidst the supreme royal ambience with silver cutlery and crockery. Royal Feast on the Ramparts of Mehrangarh Fort

Mehrangarh fort, unsurpassed in beauty and grandeur, is one of the largest forts in India. The grand banquet at the fort is much more than the finest dining experience in Rajasthan; it is Jodhpur’s answer to the Arabian nights recreating the ambience of a royal banquet befitting the kings and queens. You will witness the opium ceremony, a ritual by which guests are traditionally welcomed. Be hypnotized by the Rajasthani folk dancers as they whirl dizzily to the folk music. You can interact with the villagers and get a taste of rural life. A lavish and elaborate dinner of local delicacies will be served under the stars as the night pulsates to the sound of music and dancers who beguile your senses. Baradari Mashaal Theme Dinner at Umaid Bhawan Palace

Umaid Bhawan Palace is one of the largest and grandest private residences in the world, a splendid example of the indo-colonial and the art-deco style of the thirties. The Palace recreates for you a unique experience of princely lifestyle. The manicured Baradari Lawns provide the perfect setting for extraordinary evenings with the pristine white marble Baradari itself becoming the stage for cultural shows.

A theme to depict the lavish celebration that took place to honour the brave and victorious Rajputs amidst the ambience created by mashaals, drums, bugles, fireworks, fire dances, music etc. You will walk down the shimmering candle lit pathway of the Baradari lawns, enjoying the grandeur of the lush green setting. The lawns are aglow with rows of mashaals, and the entire background is lit with diyas, candles, lamps, and dainty fairy lights. Octopussy Gala Evening at Jag Mandir Island

Dressed in formal James Bond attire, you will be escorted in a grand procession to the private ghat, from where you will be transported by motorboats to the fairytale Jag Mandir Island. An island-palace on Lake Pichola, Jag Mandir was built as a pleasure palace for royal parties and spectacular gatherings. This magnificent setting with its domes, marble pillars and fountains has a special approach, as you get a glimpse of the row of marble elephants that guard the island.

On arrival at the magical island, you will be accorded a royal welcome following which you will be escorted to the exquisite marble courtyard. Witness a traditional dance programme and lively folk songs as you enjoy a lavish dinner in the romantic settings of the palace. The grand finale to the evening is a colourful display of fireworks over the city palace.

Durbar Theme

The Durbar Hall - an audience chamber where performances used to take place in the past, will be decorated with the elegance and opulence befitting royalty. Devi Garh tries to create the same atmosphere of the past and invites you to be a part of the Maharaja’s Court. Guests will be adorned with `pagris’ (turbans for men) and `chunnis’ (shawls for ladies) by traditionally dressed ladies and welcomed with a shower of rose petals and ‘attar’ (perfume).  The Royal Guard at the Durbar Courtyard will guide you inside the Durbar (Court of Royalty). Relax on the comfortable “Gaddas” (Mattresses) and “Masands” (Bolsters) with low chowkis (tables), the seating arrangement of the period. The festivities begin with live Indian Classical instrumental music followed by a classical North Indian Dance. A sumptuous Rajasthani ‘Silver Thali’ dinner will be served on chowkis by attendants dressed in the traditional attire of a Royal Durbar.

Mock Indian Wedding with Dinner  

Enjoy a traditional Indian wedding ceremony where you will participate as the ‘baraat’ (bridegroom’s party) and the bride’s party. The ‘baraat’ proceeds with a local band, fire-torches and dancers led by the bridegroom on horseback to the venue where the hosts (bride’s party) receive the ‘baraat’. The evening commences with the arrival of the ‘baraat’ heralded by special musical tunes played on the shehnai (flute). The groom’s party is formally welcomed inside by the bride’s family and relatives. The groom is then escorted to the mandap (canopy decorated with flowers where the actual wedding ceremony takes place) while the rest of the party takes a seat among the audience. A local priest is organized to perform the traditional wedding ceremony and the entire area is decorated with colourful ribbons and flowers. A spectacular fireworks display illuminates the night sky befitting the fairytale setting. The experience is further enriched by folk dances creating an overall lively atmosphere. The evening concludes with an elaborate and sumptuous buffet created especially for the occasion.

Village Fair Theme Dinner

A typical village setting is created with bamboo huts, benches and stalls. The venue comes alive with music, dance and rustic pageantry. Local musicians in traditional costumes will escort you into the noisy colourful scene. Watch genuine traditional artisans and craftsmen at work making local handicrafts, jewellery, metalwork, pottery, bangles and baskets. Musicians, jugglers, dancers and artists entertain you as you wend your way through the throng. Visit the bar for a cool cocktail and the food stalls to watch the preparation of the traditional Indian fare cooked in earthenware dishes. The sights, sounds and food, combine to create a wonderful ambience and a truly memorable experience.

The Night of the Courtesans (Mujra) at Zenana Mahal

You will be transported back in time, as you participate in an evening befitting the royal Kings. An evening of gaiety at Zenana Mahal, the former palace of the royal ladies and an integral part of the City Palace complex, was built in the early 1600s and has witnessed innumerable royal events. The evening unfolds with a colourful procession of traditionally attired ladies and men in turbans accompanied by court musicians from the City Palace gates to the Zenana Mahal. You will be greeted with the traditional aarti and a shower of flower petals and escorted to the candle-lit tables set around the glittering fountains.

Following the welcome, enjoy the courtesan dance, traditionally known as the ‘Mujra’. Based on Sufi-influenced Kathak, this dance form was a source of entertainment in ancient India, exclusive for the male members of the Royal families. Reclining on bolsters and ornate appliqué mattresses, experience the festive celebrations of the Maharanas of Udaipur as you are entertained by the court dancers and musicians. The huge courtyard, with its lush-green trees, fountains and the flower-decked canopies create a perfect setting for a spectacular gala evening. Enjoy a lavish buffet dinner of delicacies from the royal kitchens amidst the fairy lights and flaming torches in this magical fairytale creation.

Cocktails on the Royal Gangaur Boat

In the evening, you will be transferred to the jetty to board the Gangaur Boat, the royal barge of the house of Mewar furnished in shades of red and royal blue and decorated in imperial style. Enjoy cocktails on board as the antique barge takes you on a short cruise around the mystical Lake Pichola.

Cricket Match with Beer Lunch

As a special interactive event, enjoy an exciting limited over cricket match at the Shikarbadi hotel. Two teams will be selected, one team being the incentives special and the other team being the local team. Goan Beach Barbeque

As the sun goes down in a glorious burst of colours, you will be greeted by a serenading band, setting the scene for an evening beach barbeque with a Goan twist. Fresh seafood specialities, expertly prepared and cooked in a traditional tandoor oven evoke the typical flavours of Goa. Entertainment includes performances that display the centuries-old art of limbo dancing and fire eating. As the evening progresses, the pulsating rhythm will lure you onto the dance floor. Samba Theme

Its Samba time! A sizzling, hot evening inspired by Goa’s Portuguese connection. You will be greeted by dancing girls who will escort you inside the venue. Swing to the tunes in an exotic club setting where everyone dances the Samba way! The mood is Samba with colourful buntings, balloons, danglers and fairy lights; brightly coloured drums and colourful giant size cut-outs reflecting the authentic festival look. Pirate Theme Dinner

Get ready for an evening of fun and adventure! Its time to dress up for the occasion and let the villainous streak in you finally emerge as a member of a pirate ship. Gelled hair, eye patches, bandanas, swords, face painted with different tattoos and a cigar in your mouth. The evening will be a recreation of a pirate night after the victory over an enemy ship and its consequent looting. The whole scenery will depict a pirates’ cove with chests full of jewellery, old canons, barbeque fires and shipwrecks. As the evening progresses, one or two boats will approach and some strolling musicians will land on the beach. Dance the night away and end the evening with a sumptuous buffet with each dish named after infamous pirates.

Hawaiian Theme

Come and enjoy the fascinating experience of the cool waves and the sandy beach which takes you to a haven you have never seen. Tune in, turn on, drop in on Del Lagos Sixties Hippie theme party. Breaking the rules and looking for peace in war is the specialty of hippies. Break away from the daily work and let your hair loose.

Get high in a legal way with music and delicious food. The ambience is smoky with hookahs all around. Beads in doorways, coloured light bulbs, walls clad with posters or banners, signs declaring flower power, love not war, peace, lots of symbols of flowers and smiley faces and lots of honey-combed paper balls hanging from the ceiling add a magical aura to the ambience. Kerala Street Theme

The Kerala Street Theme features food counters on pushcarts and thatched stalls. Colourful streamers flutter overhead as gaily attired ‘Garudan’ and ‘Ammankudam’ dancers enthral the guests. The cuisine features the most exciting fare from the local streets like the kothu paratha, thattu dosa, kallappam and seafood, all served from live counters. Chakara Theme

The Chakara Theme is a recreation of the way of life in the fishing villages and the celebrations that mark a bumper catch. The venue is illuminated with thousands of diyas and flaming torches which accentuate the drama of the evening. You will be greeted to the tune of Panchvadyam drums and cymbals. Local village artists will entertain you with ‘Kolukali’ and other folk dances. A bar counter decorated in the style of the ubiquitous local toddy shop ensures a steady flow of spirits. The food counters are placed under thatched roofs and a real wooden canoe displays fresh catch from the ocean which is grilled as per choice. The cuisine is local with a focus on seafood.

Kerala Theme Dinner

A gala dinner will be organized on the grounds of your hotel where a traditional Kerala village will be set up in all its splendour. Hostesses dressed in elegant saris will welcome you with garlands of fragrant jasmine. You will enter through a traditional archway recreating a typical Kerala village. Enjoy a cultural programme of Thiruvathirakali, a traditional dance performed by village belles during the harvest festival of Onam. (Other cultural programmes like Mohiniyattom, Kathakali or Kalaripayattu, the martial art form of Kerala can also be organized). Dinner will be served from food counters with thatched roofs, in keeping with the theme.

Moonlight Symphony Cruise

Enjoy a Moonlight Symphony cruise on board the Emerald Princess - a traditional yet modern Kettuvallam, a boat designed like a restaurant and offering an insight into the culture, colour and cuisine of Kerala. The boat is furnished with a lounge-cum- dining hall, a live performance area, an upper observation deck and a dance floor. The Moonlight Symphony is about romance. Exhibition Snake Boat Race with Lunch

A Snake Boat Race especially arranged for you in a carefully selected stretch of the backwaters. There will be two teams of rowers, one boat will be of the local oarsmen and the other boat a mix of the local oarsmen and group members who have a strong heart for adventure. From the starting point, the elegant, low-slung chundan vallams (snake boats) will be flagged off to the beat of the local drums. The winners will receive a gift. A special lunch with entertainment will be arranged on a floating pontoon.

The Fisherman’s theme is a recreation of the way of life in the fishing villages. Relish a sumptuous Barbeque Seafood dinner of crabs, prawns, cuttlefish, etc freshly displayed like a local fish market. Decor of a typical fishing village will be created and the staff will be dressed like fishermen. Entertainment of a local dance group with a touch of fisher folk dancing will be depicted.

Gala Beach Dinner

The sound of Lama trumpets will herald you into an evening of unending adventure and fun. Set amidst the Himalayas, the Kingdom of Nepal is a land of eternal fascination.
